Run to Daylight is a term used to truely encapsulate the Farmers Insurance Agent Experience.
What it means is this:
As a Farmers Agent, you will incur some debt, also known as Subsidy. If you do not meet all the requirements of the Career Agent and Full Time Agent Programs, you will be required to pay back the Subsidy loaned to you. However if you meet all the sales requirements in the Career Program, you will begin your track to "Run to Daylight".
We say begin, because after 24 months of work in the Career Program to obtain 600+ accounts, its not over yet! You must now grow your agency by percentage over the following years to waive the remaining 66% of the Subsidy Debt.
The process of attempting to wash away your Debt or Subsidy is known as Running to Daylight.
But Wait. Theres More.
However, being a Farmers Agent involves much more than just the mere subsidy aspect of things. You have to overcome the odds of failure and sell and promote not only property and casualty insurance and life insurance. You must also sell financial products.
The entire program is designed to bounce you around confused as to what is really going on. They want to wash you out and pass your hard work on to their favorite agents.
You will be terminated and your policies will be passed on. That is how the program really works
