Farmers Insurance and Financial Services Agent

What does it mean to be a Farmers Insurance and Financial Services Agent?

 

Being a Farmers Insurance and Financial Services Agent means that you are a newly acquired asset by the Farmers Insurance machine. You will be instructed to sell:

Auto Insurance - Ultra Preferred, 30/60, Farmers, Mid Century

Homeowners Insurance - Protector Plus, Specialty dwelling, Foremost insurance

Financial Products - 401k, IRA, Mutual Fund accounts. Things that crippled financial services reps are limited to. Real financial planners can sell the entire spectrum of financial products because they are Series 7 licensed. A Series 6 and 63 license is really only required to be obtained by Farmers because they want you to sell Life Insurance.

You will be instructed using various types of training mechanisms that will help you trick clients into thinking the Farmers Insurance Product is superior to other companies' products. Some of the tools at your disposal:

Power Deductibles - $750 / $1250 deductibles. Because they are not common deductible types, the Power deductibles are positioned so that they cannot be compared to products of other insurance companies. May people like to compare "apples to apples" when choosing auto insurance. Famers Insurance purposely makes their product confusing so the average consumer can be tricked by the oddity of their product.

Multi Policy Discounts - Life Insurance will be pushed immensely. The entire Farmers Insurance Machine is fueled by Life Insurance Sales. Farmers Agents will be educated more on Life sales than on any other product in its arsenal. Home and Auto insurance discounts are also included.

Cost per dollar for insurance - You will be taught a sales tactic that involves the summation of all coverages on a "Packaged Policy" where you add Dwelling, Personal Liability, Bodily Injury and Property Damage, PELP or Umbrella Limits together then divide the cost per dollar of coverage in order to sell extreme limits to the ordinary person. The main point is to make the person believe that they are getting a good value for their insurance dollar by diluting the Farmers rate by mean of coverage limit.

You will be told of vast Opportunity or opportunities of the Farmers Insurance Agent program and how well you can do. How you can make $250,000 a year! How you can own your own small business. The truth in the end will be. You will spend vast amounts of money on your Farmers Insurance Agency. You will be forced out of the program for falling short of requirements if you dont sell their life insurance. You're efforts will be folded back into the Farmers District Managers other agents. Because the real purpose of the Farmers Insurance Agent system is to:

Hire as many agents as possible to sell Life Insurance and force them to wash out of the system so the policies they sold can be folded into the pyramid.
